The invention relates to a method for matching the signal transmission between two electronic appliances (1, 2) which are connected to one another via a physical interface and each have a transmitter (8a, 8b) and a receiver (7a, 7b), wherein signals are transmitted from the transmitter (8a, 8b) of one appliance (1, 2) along a transmission link (9a, 9b) to the receiver (7a, 7b) of the other appliance (1, 2) and wherein the transmission link (9a, 9b) has at least two signal lines (+, -) for the differential transmission of the signals. According to the invention, the following steps are carried out: A) signal values are captured on the receiver (7a, 7b) of the first appliance (1, 2) separately for each of the two signal lines (+, -), B) an imbalance between the signals on the two signal lines (+, -) is evaluated on the receiver (7a, 7b) of the first appliance (1, 2) on the basis of the captured signal values, C) one or more parameters of the transmitter (8a, 8b) in the second appliance (1, 2) is/are changed for at least one of the two signal lines (+, -), with at least steps A) and C) being carried out iteratively until a predetermined abortion criterion is met. |
