METHOD FOR PREPARING DRONEDARONE HYDROCHLORIDE

A method for preparing dronedarone hydrochloride, which comprises the following steps: reacting 2-(n-butyl)-3-(4-[3-(di-n-butylamino)-propoxy) ]-benzoyl)-5-amino-benzofuran with sulfonic acid chloride to obtain the mixture of N-[2-(n-butyl)-3-(4-[3-(di-n-butylamino)-propoxy)-benzoyl)- 5-benzofuran] methylsulfonamide (compoud II) and N-[2-(n-butyl)-3-(4-[3-(di-n-butylamino)-propoxy)-benzoyl)- 5-benzofuran]-N,N'-dimethylsulfonamide (compound III); separating the mixture from the reaction solution to obtain the crude product; treating the crude product in the basic condition and reacting the compound III to obtain the compound II; then reacting the compound II with mineral acid to obtain dronedarone hydrochloride.
