The invention relates to an X-ray detector that is suitable for imaging or dose rate measurement. For this purpose, a hybrid photoactive layer lies between a first electrode and a substrate. The hybrid photoactive layer comprises a plurality of scintillators and a bulk heterojunction and is designed to carry out indirect X-ray conversion. The bulk heterojunction absorbs the scintillation radiation with the formation of electron hole pairs which are electrically detected. The production is preferably carried out by means of a spraying process, in particular a co-spraying process of a bulk heterojunction solution and a scintillator particle suspension.
