An airbag is installed in a vehicle at a prescribed torque by using mounting brackets. This airbag device, which is positioned along the side of a vehicle body, has a plurality of mounting pieces (11) disposed on the upper edge of an airbag, and a mounting bracket (40(1)). The mounting bracket (40(1)) comprises inner and outer plates (41, 42) linked by a linking section (43). The inner plate (41) has an annular member (44), and when an insertion hole in the mounting piece is externally fitted to the annular member (44), the mounting piece is sandwiched by the inner and outer plates (41, 42), and in this state, a bolt is passed through an inner hole (47) in the annular member (44) and an insertion hole of the outer plate (42) and vehicle body side wall, and screwed to a nut attached to the vehicle body side wall.
