<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition including a combination of silver dihydrogen citrate and a second antimicrobial agent, wherein the second antimicrobial agent may be quaternary ammonia, an oxidizer or a halogen compound (e.g., chorine, bromine or iodie), and a method for using the antibacterial composition which has an excellent antimicrobial effect. <P>SOLUTION: In the composition including a combination of silver dihydrogen citrate and a second antimicrobial compound, the second antimicrobial compound may be quaternary ammonia, an oxidizer or a halogen species, such as chlorine, bromine or iodine.
