<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further accurately diagnose a brake switch, while restraining reduction in a chance for a diagnosis-detection. <P>SOLUTION: The brake switch is diagnosed based on the magnitude of target braking force and a switch state of the brake switch.
