<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the energy consumption of a battery due to discharge current flowing in various electric equipment or a controller when a construction machine under operation is brought into an idling stop condition. <P>SOLUTION: When controller 1 determines the idling stop of the construction machine under operation, the controller 1 sends a command signal to stop an engine to an engine controller 5. At this time, the engine controller 5 simultaneously causes a timer 21 to count time. After a predetermined time is elapsed, the timer 21 counts up to turn a timer contact point 22 on. As a result, an alarm 23 rings and notifies an operator that the construction machine is in idling stop condition. Then the operator manually turns the starter switch 6 off to prevent the discharge of the battery 2 in the idling stop condition.
