<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character recognition apparatus in which a recognition character can be corrected through simple input work. <P>SOLUTION: A character recognition apparatus includes: a scanner 10 which optically reads a character string including a character string to be recognized and an inspection character that is a character calculated by performing predetermined calculation using the character string to be recognized; a character recognition section 20 which outputs one or more recognition characters by performing character recognition on an image of the character string outputted from the scanner 10; a display section 40 which displays the recognition character outputted from the character recognition section 20; an input section 50 for selecting a correct character from the recognition characters displayed on the display section 40; and a recognition character correction section 30 which performs candidate restriction calculation for determining a recognition character of the character string to be recognized for which the inspection character is calculated by performing the predetermined calculation from among the recognition characters outputted from the character recognition section 20, displays the recognition characters determined by the candidate restriction calculation selectively on the display section, and determines a right character on the basis of input from the input section 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
