LIPID ACCUMULATION INHIBITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a novel drug exhibiting stable lipid accumulation-inhibiting effects by using a natural product-derived material, and foods and drinks comprising the same.

SOLUTION: The lipid accumulation-inhibitor comprises an alga belonging to the genus Chlamydomonas as an effective ingredient. The alga belonging to the genus Chlamydomonas is preferably a Chlamydomonas W80 strain (FERM P-18474). The alga belonging to the genus Chlamydomonas is preferably in the form of a dried powder. There are also provided foods or drinks comprising the lipid accumulation inhibitor.
