A device of controlling tension of a material to be rolled 1 switches a pressure command value correction amount used by a pressure command calculation unit 20 from the first pressure command value correction amount calculated by the first pressure command correction unit 24 to a second pressure command value correction amount calculated by a second pressure command correction unit 25 based on correlation studied by the pressure command correction amount learning unit 3 when a normal load detection value cannot be obtained by the load detection unit 28. Since these correction amounts are correlated, the correction amount is not largely changed during switching.
