<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable relatively simple production of a sheet-like printed matter pasted to a three-dimensional object or a sheet-like printed matter which generates a three-dimensional object by being assembled, by utilizing a printer with a cutting head. <P>SOLUTION: The data generating apparatus has a storage part 42 which stores a plurality of templates each including both a printing region defined by a first outline and a cutting line defined by a second outline. An image transforming part 46 transforms an original image to an image conformed with the printing region defined by the first outline. A printing data generating part 48 generates printing data for printing the image after transformation.
