<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pest control composition having excellent efficacy in controlling pests, and a method for controlling pests. <P>SOLUTION: The pest control composition includes a fused imidazole compound represented by formula (1) (in the formula, A<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and A<SP POS="POST">2</SP>represent a nitrogen atom or the like; R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>, and R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>represent a halogen atom or the like; R<SP POS="POST">5</SP>represents a 1-6C chain hydrocarbon group or the like that may be substituted with a halogen atom; R<SP POS="POST">6</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">7</SP>represent a halogen-substituted 1-4C chain hydrocarbon group or the like; and n represents 0 or 1), and at least one type of pyrethroid compound selected from the group consisting of esfenvalerate, fenpropathrin, fenvalerate, alpha-cypermethrin, bifenthrin, cypermethrin, deltamethrin, ethofenprox, lambda-cyhalothrin, permethrin, tefluthrin, and zeta-cypermethrin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
