PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) wireless terminal device capable of preventing increase in circuit scale and power consumption of a low noise amplifier while satisfying 3GPP (The Third Generation Partnership Project) standards that are GSM standards.

SOLUTION: A memory 13 that is a non-volatile memory (NVM) has a received signal gain setting table in which switching thresholds for switching over a gain of a low noise amplifier 1 performing amplification by a low noise factor are preliminarily set and registered depending on a communication mode and a signal level of a received signal. In the case that the received signal is a signal of a GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) communication mode, contents that are set and registered in the received signal gain setting table which correspond to the communication mode are referred to switch over the gain of the low noise amplifier 1 based on a comparison result between the switching threshold that is set and registered in the received signal gain setting table and an RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator) value that is a signal level of the received signal.
