<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture medium capable of selectively detecting Lactobacillus even in the case when feces containing vancomycin resistant microbes are targeted. <P>SOLUTION: A modified LBS culture medium containing components except glucose in an LBS culture medium, fosfomycin, lactitol and vancomycin is provided. The culture medium should have growth suppressing ability for one or more kinds of vancomycin resistant coliform bacilli selected from Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Proteus mirabilis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
