<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display indicator capable of improving use efficiency of light from a light source. <P>SOLUTION: A display indicator 2 includes an optical path changing panel 12, a diffraction grating panel 13 and a dispersion plate 14 and is composed to be capable of displaying a plurality of images so that different images from each other are visible from respective different viewpoint positions facing the display indicator 2 and in the right and left directions of the display indicator 2. In this case, the diffraction grating panel 13 has diffraction gratings 30 formed for each display pixel to diffract light L2 from the optical path changing panel 12 in predetermined directions for each diffraction grating 30. In addition, the optical path changing panel 12 has prisms 20 provided corresponding to the respective display pixels and arranged between a light source 11 and the diffraction grating panel 13 as well as making the light L2 obliquely incident to a diffraction grating surface F3 in the respective grating 30 by changing the direction of procession of light L1 emitted from the light source 11 to the vertical direction of the display indicator 2 by the prism 20.
