<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method achieving high activity and a high cyclic olefin incorporation ratio, as compared to a conventional polymerization method of a cyclic olefin. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided an olefin polymer containing, as an essential ingredient, a 4C-30C cyclic olefin (C) represented by general formula (I) and a production method thereof, wherein e is an integer of 0-20; R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>to R<SP POS="POST">8</SP>may be the same or different from each other and are each an atom or a group selected from a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group, a halogenated hydrocarbon group, a silyl group-substituted hydrocarbon group, and a hydrocarbon group-substituted silyl group; and two groups selected from groups represented by R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>to R<SP POS="POST">8</SP>may be bonded so as to form a ring together with carbon atoms to which the two groups bond. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
