PURPOSE: A Chinese character input terminal using a number and Chinese character input method are provided to offer Chinese characters set constituted from basic characters according to a character of high frequency using number keypads. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(110) is able to be formed as one of input means including a keypad and a touch pad. A stroke number selection module(131) is selected stroke numbers of basic characters by a user. The stroke number selection module outputs selected Chinese character set about the basis character according to the stroke numbers. A character selection module(133) receives one of basic characters in Chinese character set about the basic characters according to selected stroke numbers and outputs one character of Chinese character set.
