<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power amplifier and a transmitter having a smaller footprint than that of conventional one and capable of minimizing output signal losses. <P>SOLUTION: The power amplifier 16 comprises a balance amplifier 21 having an amplifier circuit 24 provided between a hybrid power splitter 22 and a hybrid power combiner 23.
