<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element which has superior heat resistance, high durability high enough to be driven stably for a long time, and little increase in power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting element comprises: a material 103 in which an organic group is bonded to silicon in a skeleton composed of siloxane bonds as an inorganic material; and the oxide 104 of a transition metal which can donate and accept electrons to/from the organic group, and so on.
