<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image scanner capable of taking measures for flare light with a simple configuration, without incurring an increase in the number of components, cost increases and a decrease in assembly efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: An image scanner that scans an original image when a scanning body 64 moves in a vertical scanning direction comprises: a substrate; multiple light-emitting elements that are arranged and mounted linearly on the substrate; a light guide body that is fixed on the substrate to guide light from the light-emitting elements to the original surface; the scanning body 64 that retains the substrate, the light-emitting elements and the light guide body and where an aperture 64A for allowing passage of light reflected by the original image is formed; and an insulation member 65 that lies between the substrate and the scanning body 64 to electrically insulate them. In the image scanner, an extension part 65A of the insulating member 65 covers portions on both sides of the aperture 64A in a main scanning direction that is formed in the scanning body 64. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
