<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a check processor that prevents a cover member of an ink jet head from being damaged due to a check conveyed through a print position. <P>SOLUTION: An opening 171 for exposing a nozzle surface 51a of an ink jet head 51 arranged at a print position D to the inside of a check conveyance groove 6 is formed in a side plate 17 regulates a check conveyance groove 6 of the check processor 1. The ink jet head 51 is provided with a conductive cover member 515 having a frame-like nozzle surface abutting part 515a which abuts against the outer peripheral edge of the nozzle surface 51a. The conductive cover member 515 is attached to the opening edge 172 of the opening 171 in the side plate 17. As a result, planarity of the nozzle surface abutting part 515a can be increased, and the nozzle surface abutting part 515a can be prevented from floating above the nozzle surface 51a.
