<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell selection method that can maximally reduce power consumption of a mobile station and selects a cell having the highest communication quality as an in-zone cell. <P>SOLUTION: A cell selection method for registering a position of a peripheral base station as an in-zone cell when reception power of the peripheral base station is higher than that of an in-zone base station by an offset value Δγ or more based on the result of comparison between the reception power of the peripheral base station with the highest reception power and that of the in-zone base station comprises the step of switching at a predetermined timing and transmitting a cell selection threshold signal transmitted on a common control signal by a base station, where there are provided the plurality of cell selection threshold signals that are sets of a threshold (γ) of the reception power that the base station reports and the offset value (Δγ) of the reception power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
