PURPOSE: A gene producing quercetin 3-O-N-cetyl glucosamine and a method thereof are provided to be applied to various food or pharmaceutical products. CONSTITUTION: A quercetin-3-O-N-acetyl glucosamine compound is a conjugate of quercetin and N-acetytl glucosamine. A gene mediating quercetin and N-acetyl glucosamine has a base sequence of sequence number 1. A method for preparing the compound comprises: a step of preparing an expression vector containing the gene; a step of transforming the expression vector to a host cell; a step of adding quercetin to the host cell.
