<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech output device which can properly suppress cocktail-party effect. <P>SOLUTION: A microphone array 1 collects speech of a speaker H1 and outputs it to a speech processing device 3. The speech processing device 3 detects the position of the speaker H1 based on speech of the speaker H1 collected by each microphone of the microphone array 1. The speech processing device 3 also generates masker sound for masking speech of the speaker H1 based on speech of the speaker H1 collected by each microphone of the microphone array 1 and outputs it to a speaker array 2. In that time, the speech processing device 3 controls a delay amount of speech signals supplied to each speaker of the speaker array 2, thereby setting the position of a sound source sensed by third parties H3 (virtual sound source position) to the position of the speaker H1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
