<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicle rotary electric machine which improves the workability for attaching/removing a protective cover to/from a casing and prevents the diameter increase of the casing. <P>SOLUTION: A resin protective cover 25 is formed in a cup shape composed of a bottom part and a cylindrical peripheral wall 27. The protective cover is attached to a rear bracket 3 so as to cover a rectifier disposed on an axial outer side of the rear bracket 3 and a voltage regulator. The protective cover 25 has an engaging claw 32 formed by a shaft part 33 extending from an opening end of the peripheral wall 27 and a claw part 34 projecting radially outward from a tip of the shaft part 33. The engaging claw 32 is inserted into an engaging hole 35 formed in the casing 4 and elastically held in an engaging state by the rear bracket 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
