PURPOSE: A composition containing an agent which measures CLIC1 is provided to enhance treatment effect and to reduce side effect. CONSTITUTION: A composition for diagnosing radiation tolerance or sensitivity of cancer cells contains an agent which measures CLIC1(chloride intracellular channel protein 1, NCBI GenBank Accession No. NM_001288) mRNA or protein level. The cancer includes laryngeal cancer, uterine cervix cancer, or colon cancer. The agent which measures mRNA level contains a primer. An agent which measures protein level contains an antibody.
