Synthetic resin square bottle body

A large sized square bottle body made of synthetic resin and having a grasp section at its barrel section. The grasp section provides the bottle body with sufficient graspability without a major change in the shape of the bottle body, which enables a user to use it with ease. The barrel section is oblong in cross section and has a circular groove-like waist at the middle of the height of the barrel section. A pair of recesses for receiving fingers is formed in predetermined regions positioned below the waist, in a pair of long-sided walls that form long- sided portions of the oblong shape, and the pair of recesses is formed such that fingers can be received in at least one of the pair. Thus, the grasp section for holding the bottle body is formed by the pair of recesses.
