<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing ketones and carboxylic acids by oxidizing trisubstituted olefins with hydrogen peroxide. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing ketones and carboxylic acids is characterized by reaction of a trisubstituted olefin expressed by general formula (1) (in the formula, R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>are each an optionally substituted alkyl or the like; or R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>or R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>may together form a part of a cyclic structure) with hydrogen peroxide at 65-200°C in the presence of a metal oxide catalyst obtained by reacting at least one metal compound selected from the group consisting of compounds of a tungsten metal, a molybdenum metal, etc., with hydrogen peroxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
