ACTIVE TAG TRANSMISSION CONTROL METHOD AND ACTIVE TAG COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a tag incorporating a battery (RFID tag).

SOLUTION: In an active tag transmission control method having a reader 10 transmitting a transmission start signal in a prescribed transmission period and a tag 20 transmitting a response signal to the reader 10 when receiving the transmission start signal; the tag 20 is made to be in a stand-by state of low power consumption in which only reception of the transmission start signal is performed until the transmission start signal is received, shifts to an active state in response to the reception of the transmission start signal, and repeatedly transmits the response signal in the prescribed transmission period; the reader 10 transmits a transmission stop signal for stopping the transmission of the response signal together with stopping the transmission of the transmission start signal in response to the reception of the response signal; and the tag 20 stops the transmission of the response signal in response to the reception of the transmission stop signal and shifts to the stand-by state.
