<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the density of a printed image obtained by printing an image whose pixel number is converted be appropriate. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel number converter 1 includes: a line width conversion table preparation unit 3 for obtaining a conversion magnification on the basis of the pixel number of an original image and the pixel number of a conversion image, and preparing a line width conversion table 3c for specifying a conversion line width on the conversion image corresponding to the line width of a black line of the original image on the basis of the obtained conversion magnification; and a pixel number conversion processing unit 4 for changing the line width of the black line present in the original image by using the line width conversion table 3c and generating the conversion image. The line width conversion table preparation unit 3 generates, as the conversion line widths, a thick line width for which a pure conversion line width for which the line width of the black line of the original image is multiplied by the conversion magnification is rounded up to the closest whole number, a thin line width for which it is rounded down to the closest whole number, and an intermediate line width for which round-up and round-down of decimal numbers are divided with a prescribed threshold as a boundary. The pixel number conversion processing unit 4 uses the line width selected from the thick line width, the thin line width and the intermediate line width to change the line width of the black line present in the original image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
