<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which makes it possible to improve the stability of a concentration sensor utilizing the oxidation current of fuel. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system of the present invention includes a fuel cell using a liquid organic compound as fuel and a fuel concentration detection device which detects the concentration of fuel supplied to the fuel cell. The fuel concentration detection device comprises a pair of electrodes, a concentration detection element having a proton conductive solid polymer membrane which is interposed between the electrodes, a DC power supply which applies voltage to the concentration detection element, polarity switching means for switching the polarity of voltage applied to the concentration detection element, and current measurement means for measuring the oxidation current of fuel which is generated by an application of voltage to the concentration detection element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
