摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality by, for example, preventing as much as possible appearance of light-leak-formed image around an image in an electro-optic device. <P>SOLUTION: A data line, a scanning line, TFT, and a pixel electrode are provided on a TFT array substrate (10). The substrate has an image display area (10a) defined as a formation area for the TFT and pixel electrode, and a peripheral area defining the periphery of the image display area. The surface of the image display area has a storage capacitance holding the potential of the pixel electrode for a predetermined period, and capacitance wiring (400) connected to a capacitor electrode composing the storage capacitance. The surface of a frame area (53) defining a space between the image display area and the peripheral area has a frame pattern (406) formed as the same film as the capacitance wiring and formed on at least part of the frame area.
