PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil improvement method that increases the soil's liquefaction resistance, based on means, which requires low construction and maintenance costs, can be applied to a plot prior to construction as well as to the underground of an existing building, and can be easily removed.
SOLUTION: Nutrients needed for metabolism of microbes living in a soil are injected into the soil to accelerate the metabolism of the aforesaid microbes, and liquefaction resistance of the aforesaid soil is increased by metabolism products of the aforesaid microbes. The aforesaid nutrients can also be injected into the soil together with microbes. Microbes used in the present invention, which vary depending on their metabolism reactions, increase liquefaction resistance of a soil mainly by reducing degree of water saturation of the soil (production of nitrogen and carbon dioxide gases by microbes) and by increasing viscosity (production of biopolymers).
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
