<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scattering prevention device of an A-pillar garnish with improved serviceability. <P>SOLUTION: A tether part 20 and a tether engaging part 30 are not engaged with each other when a garnish 70 is not moving away from an A-pillar due to an inflation pressure of an airbag 50. When the garnish 70 is moved with respect to the A-pillar 40 in a direction where the tether engaging part 30 is not engaged with the tether part 20, the tether part 20 never interferes with the motion of the garnish 70. Consequently, only by moving the garnish 70 with respect to the A-pillar 40 in the direction where the tether engaging part 30 is not engaged with the tether part 20, the garnish 70 can be detached from the A-pillar 40.
