<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight simple fluid actuator essentially large in stroke and generative force by a fluid machine element without requiring a piston, and a fluid pump being a mechanism opposite thereto. <P>SOLUTION: This actuator including a pipe-like telescopic structure 11 comprising a single wall, end plates 12 and inlets or outlets 13 without requiring a piston is provided by forming the pipe-like telescopic structure by a polyhedral shape having extensibility, and nearly-linearly changing internal space capacity by its wide-range extension/contraction.
