<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel for a ship having excellent coating corrosion resistance, which has no need of performing repair coating for up to 25 years which is a ship design life even in a severe seawater corrosive environment of the ballast tank, etc. of the ship. <P>SOLUTION: The steel having high coating corrosion resistance has a chemical composition including, by mass%, 0.01 to 0.20% C; 0.01 to 2.5% Si; 0.1 to 2.0% Mn; ≤0.03% P; ≤0.01% S; 0.005 to 0.3% Al; and ≤0.008% N; and further contains one or more elements selected from 0.005 to 3.0% Mo; 0.005 to 3.0% W; 0.005 to 2.0% Cu; 0.005 to 5.0% Cr; 0.005 to 5.0% Ni; 0.005 to 1.0% Sb; 0.005 to 1.0% Sn; 0.001 to 0.5% V; 0.0001 to 0.01% Mg, the steel including a specific zinc primer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
