<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing pottery having a space between an outer vessel and an inner vessel, without the need of a step to provide an inflammable material in the space and the inflammable material itself, and without the need of a step of separately plugging a vent hole after firing, so that the pottery can be produced inexpensively with fewer steps. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing pottery includes: a green body formation step S1 of forming a green body before biscuit firing by forming with clay a green body of a shape having an outer vessel and an inner vessel with a space between them, and forming a hole penetrating the outer vessel; a biscuit firing step S2 of biscuit firing the green body formed of the hole; a glazing step S3 of glazing an area including the hole-formed place in the outer surface of the outer vessel in the biscuit-fired green body; and a glost firing step S4 of glost firing the biscuit-fired and glazed green body in a firing furnace, where the temperature in the space between the outer vessel and the inner vessel lowers when the glost firing is finished by halting the operation of the firing furnace, and the glost surrounding the hole part is sucked into the hole so as to plug the hole with glost. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
