<p>PURPOSE: A chemical recycling method for polyester is provided to recycle polyester with excellent mechanical properties, thermal properties, and colors similar to the polyester polymerized from pure materials by recycling wasted polyester. CONSTITUTION: A chemical recycling method for polyester comprises the steps of: depolymerizing 100 parts by weight of wasted polyester and 100-300 parts by weight of ethylene glycol using a depolymerization catalyst to prepare an oligomer solution; contacting the oligomer solution with an ion-exchange resin to removing the catalyst within the oligomer solution; passing the oligomer solution through a decolorant to remove colored materials including the coloring agent within the oligomer solution; and distilling ethylene glycol within the purified oligomer solution under 1-760 torr at 100-250 °C, and polycondensing the distilled material to prepare polyester.</p> |
