<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for ultra-high density connection. <P>SOLUTION: In one embodiment, an ultra-high density connector 10 includes a bundle of substantially parallel elongated cylindrical elements 12, and each cylindrical element is substantially in contact with at least one adjacent cylindrical element. Ends 14 of the elongated cylindrical elements are staggered to form three-dimensional fitting faces combined with each other.
