<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device comprising a barcode reading function. <P>SOLUTION: The portable electronic device comprises an optical sensor that detects a barcode image as a rectangular pixel array, lenses 130, 140 that are connected with the optical sensor and focusing the image onto the optical sensor, a storage element that is connected with the optical sensor and stores the image as a value of the rectangular pixel array, and a processor that is connected with the storage element and analyzes the stored image to decode the barcode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
