<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of appropriately fulfilling a function of recognizing an object based on a vehicle exterior image without increasing user's burden in an image recognition device. <P>SOLUTION: An image recognition device recognizes an object based on a target area in a vehicle exterior image taken by an in-vehicle camera, and changes the target area according to a variation at a location of optical axis of the camera. Therefore, the image recognition device can improve recognition performance of the object and does not require a user to adjust the optical axis of the camera even if the optical axis of the camera is displaced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
