<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle weather strip that has an insert, is high in the holding force of a flange, and easy in manufacturing. <P>SOLUTION: In the weather strip 10 having a trim 20 and seal 30, in the trim 20, a vehicle-outside holding lip 24 and a vehicle-inside holding lip 26 are formed from inner surfaces of a vehicle outside sidewall 21 and a vehicle inside sidewall 22, respectively, and the insert 40 is embedded into the trim 20. The insert 40 is formed into a ladder shape so that a large number of rectangular parts 41 are laterally aligned from a band-shaped steel plate, end vicinities at both sides of the rectangular parts 41 are connected by connections 42, 43. Slits 44, 45 are formed between the rectangular parts, and the center of the connection 42 is positioned so as to be deviated to side-end sides of the rectangular parts 41 rather than a portion in which a root 24a of the vehicle-outside holding lip 24 and a root 26a of the vehicle-inside holding lip 26a oppose each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
