<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a cleaning mechanism of a liquid ejection head which collects mist ejected from the liquid ejection head with an inexpensive configuration while ensuring safety. <P>SOLUTION: The cleaning mechanism 20 has a flashing box 22 which receives liquid droplets ejected from the nozzle face 18a of a liquid ejection head 18 with a plurality of nozzles arranged therein, a dielectric member 28 formed of a dielectric and arranged in the flashing box 22 to face the nozzle face 18a, a charging wiper 33 which charges the dielectric member 28 by moving in contact therewith, and a moving mechanism 23 which moves the charging wiper 33 along the dielectric member 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
