<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a captured image to be viewed instantly from a standby screen by a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: A portable terminal apparatus includes: display means for displaying an object associated with a function over a standard screen; imaging means for capturing an image; and control means for, when the object displayed on the display means is selected, executing the function associated with the selected object.
