<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal which is horizontally, perpendicularly put on various important documents without being bent when putting the seal on the various important documents in commercial custom and living custom of Japan. <P>SOLUTION: An on-off switch 6 for slit illumination is pushed, thereby, an LED illumination appliance 8 is turned on and a line is illuminated through the slit 4. The existing line is made to coincide with the illuminated line to put the seal. When putting the seal, the seal is set to a target position, the on-off switch for slit illumination is operated, the LED illumination appliance is turned on, a power supply is radiated through the slit, a positioning line 5 is projected and the seal is put on so as to match with the line 5.
