<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blanket for printing used by peeling a surface printing layer 3 of a non-printing region outside a printing region for printing an overcoat only in the printing region on package printing, which is excellent in durability since it is capable of surely preventing penetration of varnish or a cleaning liquid in the non-printing region from which the surface printing layer 3 is peeled and preventing unevenness of the total thickness in a short time, and moreover, excellent in productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The surface printing layer 3 is laminated on one surface of a support layer 2 including base cloths 5, 7, 9.
