<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device in which variation in the light-emitting part can be addressed easily, problems of adhesion of dirt, or the like, over time are eliminated, and unevenness of color or luminance is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device comprises a light source 3, and a translucent member 5 arranged on the light source. The surface of the translucent member on the reverse side of the light source serves as a light emission surface. In the translucent member, light scattering portions consisting of a plurality of microcracks are provided while being distributed unevenly.
