CRYSTALLINE SILICA ALUMINOPHOSPHATE AND METHOD OF SYNTHESIZING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide crystalline silica aluminophosphate that is preferably used for exhaust gas treatment of an internal combustion engine and a method of synthesizing the same.

SOLUTION: A crystalline silica aluminophosphate formed body suppresses generation of cracks and has superior strength, wear resistance, and anti-erosion property. With the crystalline silica aluminophosphate formed body, alumina is bonding material. The average particle size of the crystalline silica aluminophosphate particles is in the range of 0.2 to 7 μm. Crystallinity is in the range of 10 to 85%. The content of alumina binder is in the range of 10 to 40 wt.%.
