<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing the failure of an operation part. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 1, a housing 100 includes an operation part 50 which is located above a discharge space 30 to form a top edge 31A of a taking-out port 31 and stores an electric circuit board 61 inside to receive an input operation with respect to image forming means 10 or image reading means 20. Reinforcement members 71, 72L and 72R which extend in a width direction which is a direction nearly parallel with the top edge 31A of the taking-out port 31 to cross over the discharge space 30 are disposed below the electric circuit board 61 in the operation part 50. A frame member includes a first support part 130L located closer to one end side than the discharge space 30 in the width direction and a second support part 130R located closer to the other end side than the discharge space 30 in the width direction.
