<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip processing device capable of being used without improving an existing machine tool (regardless of being a main shaft coolant through), preventing scattering of chip and cooling a distal end of a tool. <P>SOLUTION: This chip processing device for a machine tool comprises: a tool holder 3 detachably mounted at a distal end of a main shaft of the machine tool; a cylindrical hood 6 non-rotatably mounted on an outer periphery of a holder body 3c of the tool holder 3; a dust collecting device for sucking chip. The cylindrical hood 6 has a dual structure consisting of an inner peripheral part and an outer peripheral part and has a discharge passage to discharge chip sucked by the dust collecting device between the inner peripheral part and the outer peripheral part. Further, the cylindrical hood 6 includes a base 10 non-rotatably fixed to a body of the tool holder 3 and a slide hood 11 slidably mounted in the longitudinal direction on a cutting tool side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
